Like Pulcherrima Rosa this piece was also recorded in the church by the Calgary Renaissance Singers and Players. What makes this piece special is that it was written by a woman, an Ursuline Nun whose music was innovative and expressive. Composed during a time when the role of women was significantly repressed, Isabella Leonarda created some truely amazing works.
